Your visit to this Site is voluntary, and it is completely optional for you to engage in these activities. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide may be identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity online. Accordingly, you will need to use a non-web-based option for transacting business with CMS Critic.
When you purchase our products and/or services, billing information such as credit card numbers, expiration dates, authentication codes, users/subscriber’s information, and other information necessary for your invoicing may be collected. In addition, depending on the products and/or services purchased, content, such as images and video, or other data required for such product/services will also be collected. Data used in reporting or marketing may also be necessarily collected. If there are any postings, comments, feedback, event registrations, or sweepstakes entries you make or voluntarily enter personal information for, this information will also be collected and become our property, and we reserve the right to use such material with your personal information for any reason.

All information collected will be shared only as required by municipal, state, or federal laws.
3.1 Google Analytics. CMS Critic uses Google Analytics (GA) to process information about the number of visitors on our Site and their behavior. CMS Critic uses this information to record the number of people using CMS Critic and to better understand where you discover our Site (from social media, Google, or another Site) and how you use it, as well as to see how people move throughout the Site. Google Analytics records your approximate location down to town level, the type of device you are using, e.g., Mobile or Table, Name of device, e.g., iPad, iPhone, etc., operating system, e.g., Windows 10 or iOS and browser, e.g., Firefox or Chrome - none of this data can be used to identify you. Google does record your IP address; however, we don’t have access to this information, and it modifies it so that you cannot be identified specifically, just the area you are in.
3.2 Subscriber Newsletter. If you choose to join one of our regular newsletters, then your email address is required so that you can receive the emails. Your data is collected and then passed to one of our Email Service Providers (i.e., Mail Chimp). Within the Email Service Provider, we use tags to track the pages that you visit and actions that you take within the emails so that we can provide a more personalized email service to you.
3.3 Leaving a Comment on our Site. We love hearing from you, and we do this by giving you the option of leaving a comment via the commenting platform, Disqus. We only use this information to identify you as the comment maker and do not pass this on to any third party. Your email address will never be shown in the comment section of the Site. Your details will remain in the database unless we remove it or the article is removed from the Site. If you are under 16, you must obtain your parents’ permission before leaving a comment.
IMPORTANT: In your comment, you should avoid leaving information of a personal nature, and it is recommended that you do this on any website you comment on.
CMS Critic recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected on the Site. We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. In addition, we have physical, electronic, and/or procedural safeguards to protect personal information about you. While information may be saved for a designated period of time, information will not be disclosed to third parties or other government agencies unless required by municipal, state, or federal laws.
You can surf the Site anonymously and access information without revealing your identity. In order to improve our Site, we may use “cookies” to assist your visit. Specifically, cookies may be used for our commenting system so that you don’t have to always enter your details and to collect data as part of Google Analytics so that we can see who has visited our Site. A cookie is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that gave the cookie to you. A cookie can function as your identification card, recording your passwords, purchases and preferences. However, cookies cannot be used to deliver viruses to your computer, nor can cookies be executed as code.
6.2. Personal Data Collected:
6.3. Third-Party Advertisements. We use third-party advertisements on CMS Critic to support our site, including but not limited to those listed below.
Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP, the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed.
This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
We claim no responsibility for the policies governing your personal information on third-party Websites you may reach by clicking links appearing on www.cmscritic.com.
