Matej Zachar

Matej Zachar is a seasoned security executive with a proven track record of leading teams of security professionals and achieving and maintaining compliance and certifications with ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and GLBA. He is an expert in utilizing risk management to ensure meaningful decisions and proportional controls. Matej currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Kontent.ai, where he owns the security strategy and program, achieves and maintains compliance with control frameworks, leads the Security Team, and manages risks. He is also the chair of the Security Steering, a member of the Responsible AI Committee, Privacy Team, and Corporate Compliance Committee. Matej holds a CISO Executive Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master's Degree in IT Security from Masaryk University. He also holds several licenses and certifications, including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, OpenFAIR, SSCP, CCSK and ISO/IEC 27001 Senior Lead Implementer.
