Standing Cloud, a leading provider of cloud-based application management solutions, today unveiled “Drupal powered by Standing Cloud,” an optimized Drupal application management platform built for quick, problem-free Drupal deployment in the cloud.
The new offering, which debuts today at DrupalCon 2012 in Denver, streamlines and automates Drupal deployment and management, making it easy to build, test, deploy and scale Drupal sites on a wide range of cloud providers. Best-of breed automated management tools — including monitoring, scaling, back-ups, upgrades, auto-restore and more — ensure reliability, scalability and control.
The Drupal Application Network on Standing Cloud includes the latest versions of Drupal and leading Drupal distributions, including Kaltura, Open Atrium, OpenEnterprise, OpenPublic, and Open Publish. Developers can select an application and version, and deploy directly to their choice of more than 15 leading cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services, Rackspace, OpSource, CloudSigma, GoGrid, and more.
Standing Cloud automatically scripts best-practice installation of the OS, technology stack (including support for Varnish, Drush, APC, and Memcached) and preferred Drupal version on top of the chosen cloud infrastructure, providing portability, flexibility and quality assurance that standard image-based deployments simply can't match.
“We’ve made no secret of our commitment to the Drupal community,” said Joni Klippert, Director of Customer Development for Standing Cloud. “We’ve spent months talking and listening to Drupal developers to produce an offering that eliminates the hassle of deploying and managing Drupal sites in the cloud. We’re excited to continue working with the community and optimizing the platform to their needs.”
Standing Cloud is a Bronze Sponsor and exhibitor (Booth #205) at DrupalCon 2012, the largest annual gathering of the Drupal community, with 60+ exhibitors and 3,000 attendees expected. On Tuesday, March 21 at 1:00 pm MT, Standing Cloud CEO Dave Jilk will be a featured panelist during the opening day presentation “Drupal in the Cloud,” along with executives from Acquia, Pantheon and AppFog,.
