Yfactor Releases iCMS 8.0 with Mobility and Accessibility Features

Yfactor is thrilled to announce the release of iCMS 8.0. iCMS 8.0 has all the powerful content management features that our iCMS 7.0 clients are used to, but also brings new functionality for mobile friendly pages, accessibility compliance and video.

Mobile Friendly Pages

Whenever a visitor accesses an iCMS 8.0 website on a mobile device, a mobile friendly website that has been automatically created is shown to them. The site loads quickly, is easy to navigate and has an optimized layout for viewing on a mobile device.

Accessibility

Yfactor's iCMS 8.0 follows the WCAG 2.0 Level A guidelines for accessibility by providing a simpler, more enjoyable experience for website visitors with accessibility needs. Accessibility compliant websites are automatically generated with iCMS 8.0. From one screen staff enter content for the main website and in a new tab the accessibility compliant page is created for them.

Yfactor has partnered with ReadSpeaker to provide additional accessible functionality. ReadSpeaker can be integrated into any iCMS 8.0 website and provides web-based text-to-speech. A “Play” button is available on each page of an iCMS website which, when clicked, will read the page aloud to the web visitor. Video

The new video gallery makes adding video to your website a breeze. iCMS 8.0 allows upload of video from all popular digital formats which is then automatically converted to web-friendly Flash movie files. These movies can be added to any webpage including the video gallery page which enables visitors to browse, rate, and comment on videos.
