Nuxeo have today announced the release of their latest Fast Track version of their popular content management system – Nuxeo Platform 5.9.3.
Nuxeo is an open source CMS platform used primarily by architects and developers to build, deploy, and run content-centric business applications. The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system offered by Nuxeo allows for document management, case management, digital asset management and other applications.
With the release of version 5.9.3, Nuxeo have introduced a host of new features and enhancements for users, administrators and developers.
One of the most notable features of this new Nuxeo release is the integration of Elasticsearch. It brings greater scalability to the Nuxeo Platform thanks to its uses regarding document indexing as one example.
Another great addition that comes with 5.9.3 is the Collections type. A Collection is a folder-like document in which you can classify existing content. Documents are not actually copied or moved into the collection, as it only houses links to the document in its original location.
