Kentico announces Kentico CMS 5.5 R2 with General Availability by December 15, 2010

Kentico Software , the Web content management system vendor, disclosed that Kentico CMS 5.5 R2 will be Generally Available by December 15, 2010 at the LeWeb'10 conference. This new version of their flagship enterprise CMS provides document and project management, Microsoft Azure  support, WebDAV, Workgroups and Sharepoint 2010 support.

Already a key to enterprise Intranets for companies like Brussels Airlines or Shaw Industries Group Inc., Kentico CMS 5.5 R2 extends their intranet platform to include document and project management, WebDAV support, workgroup and SharePoint 2010 support.

Out of the box, Kentico CMS 5.5 R2 includes Project Management that helps users manage, assign and monitor projects and tasks. The new Document Management feature allows users to add/edit/delete documents and their permissions directly from a website without access to the administration UI. With the added support of WebDAV, users can now directly edit documents without the need to save them manually to a temporary location and then re-upload them.
