Kentico Software (http://www.kentico.com), the Web content management system vendor, has announced that Kentico CMS was officially recognized by Microsoft as an application compatible with the Windows Azure Platform.
The latest version of Kentico CMS 5.5R2 includes Windows Azure support for single CMS installations. Kentico customers are able to leverage Microsoft Azure to power their Kentico websites, community sites, enterprise intranets and on-line stores.
“It’s important that we keep our commitments to customers to deliver the latest Microsoft technologies.” said Petr Palas, CEO and Founder of Kentico Software. “Adding compatibility with Windows Azure removes barriers for our customers who are looking at their enterprise cloud computing strategy. Regardless of whether it’s on-premise or in the cloud, Kentico CMS is ready.”
The compatibility of Kentico CMS and the Windows Azure platform has been proved by the first six Kentico CMS implementations successfully migrated to the Windows Azure platform by Bit-Wizards, a Kentico Gold Partner from Florida, USA.
“The Windows Azure platform will provide more choice and greater flexibility for our clients,” said Vince Mayfield, CEO and Co-Founder of Bit-Wizards. “By building and deploying Kentico solutions on the Windows Azure platform, Bit-Wizards’ clients will be afforded the type of scalability and extensibility that has previously been only available through expensive web farms.”
“The Azure Enabled Kentico CMS is another tool in our toolkit,” said Bryan Soltis, Senior Software Engineer at Bit-Wizards. “The Enterprise features of Kentico CMS on the Windows Azure scalable platform provide a powerful combination to develop and rapidly deploy enterprise scalable content management systems.”
