<a href="http://www.elcomcms.com/" target="_blank"> ElcomCMS </a>  have unveiled version 9.5 of their platform, with a “focus on customer experience”.
Geared towards mid-large size enterprises, ElcomCMS comes with over 70 core features to enable users to manage multiple sites, intranets, micro-sites, and so forth.
ElcomCMS 9.5 is scheduled to go live on July 1st 2014.

The Elcom team has identified some common challenges facing IT managers, marketing executives, and everybody in between.
Here are some of those common challenges ElcomCMS 9.5 is aiming to address:

Elcom's Product Director Tim Kirkman made the following comments regarding the announcement:

ElcomCMS 9.5 Set to Be Released

<a href="http://www.elcom.com.au/">Elcom</a> has announced version 7.5 of their content management system and with it, some new social functionality has been integrated.
As well as enhancements to key features within the system; Elcom are excited to be launching an enhanced layer of Social 
functionality across the system.

The new social layer provides intuitive and easy to use Facebook like functionality, giving users the ability to publish status updates, share information, comment and invite colleagues or members. This builds on the elcomCMS’s existing social features which include blogs, forums and wikis.
Commenting on the development, Anthony Milner, Elcom’s Product Director said “Bringing FaceBook like functionality to the enterprise concerns some HR teams but in reality an effective and well managed social layer can significantly enhance productivity through improved communication and collaboration. It can also reduce the need for formal meetings, expose hidden expertise and improve communication across geographically dispersed teams. ”

In addition to the Facebook like Social features, Elcom have also introduced a framework to easily integrate external content such as YouTube. This allows authors to automatically extract and store video metadata as indexed objects without the need to actually store the video asset on their site. The content can then be integrated with the elcomCMS’s taxonomy engine, dynamic content widgets and search. This provides a quick and powerful way to enhance existing content with external content; and reduces the duplication and maintenance often associated with managing multiple content sources
For marketing and campaign managers, Elcom have also integrated in version 7.5, the outstanding email marketing software, Campaign Monitor. This is a third-party online email marketing tool that lets marketers send “professional and engaging email campaigns, track results and manage subscribers”, to provide powerful email campaign management.
Elcom’s Marketing Manager, Lee-Sia Yuen added “This is great release for marketing and communication professionals. The email marketing, rich media and social capability will help to remove noise and improve communication channels between clients, prospects, channels and even internally”

Elcom just announced the release of ElcomCMS 8.1, the latest version of their .NET enterprise web CMS. ElcomCMS is the Australia-based company's core product. In June of 2012, they launched version 8.0. This latest upgrade contains features that help users meet accessibility requirements, collaborate on projects, organize and protect content, and improve social capabilities.

Elcom is a powerful CMS platform that targets the needs of mid-enterprise organizations. As an enterprise-level solution, it's far more than just a web CMS. It also assists companies in the development and management of intranets, portals, eCommerce, learning management, and online marketing.
<h2>What's New in ElcomCMS 8.1?</h2>
WCAG 2.0 Level AA compliance
Perhaps the greatest benefit of the new version is that it allows organizations to better achieve WCAG regulatory requirements. ElcomCMS has many Australian clients. The Australian government recently <a href="http://webguide.gov.au/accessibility-usability/accessibility/" target="_blank">mandated</a> that all agencies must update government websites to acheieve level AA conformance by December 2014. ElcomCMS 8.1 offers as-you-type accessibility features and improved reporting functionality, making it easier for companies to meet the new regulations.
New Task Manager
The Task Manager Module is the core of ElcomCMS. Users can set deadlines, assign jobs, keep up with tasks, and better acheive progress from this centralized module.

Compare Versions Feature
Collaboration takes a big step forward in 8.1. For this reason, “compare versions” features is a great improvement. Users can view two versions at once, and see all highlighted changes at a glance.
Dynamic Widget Library
Dynamic widgets allows users to aggregate content feeds on their sites. Users can easily create news feeds, article feeds, document lists, image galleries, and asset libraries. The Dynamic Widget Library allows administrators to view all dynamic widgets that are used on a site, and modify their settings.

Taxonomy Management
ElcomCMS is a great tool for businesses that need high levels of content organization and structure. Taxonomy Management gets an upgrade with tag, edit, and reuse features.
Improved Social Capability
As social gains importance in CMSs, Elcom has stepped up the game. Elcom Version 8.1 Released - Significant Upgrade and Improved Features

Elcom today unveiled the new version of its Digital Transformation Platform – Elcom V11. This release supports the need for staff to consistently deliver meaningful and superior digital experiences, by giving them the enterprise tools to elevate their performance.
Ryan Bloch, COO and General Manager at Elcom, explains, “Both internal and external audiences are demanding improved digital experiences. · New Suite of Enterprise Reporting. · Enhanced Security. An extra layer of security can be added to the login process with Two-Factor Authentication. This requires a user to enter a secure pin, one-time QR code or other information only known to that user, protecting private account information from external threats.
· Powerful Compliance Tool. Highly customisable, the new Acknowledgements module can be used for an external audience to request consent to use cookie tracking or to request staff or other internal audience acknowledge they have read an important article or message. Coupled with detailed tracking, Acknowledgement is a powerful and easy way to meet both regulatory standards and corporate compliance.
· More Identity Management Options. Along with integration to SAML and Active Directory, administrators can now use Okta as an identity provider. This offers administrators a new way to securely and automatically import users into their Elcom platform, as well as providing single-sign on capabilities to offer end-users a seamless experience across their connected platforms.
· Full Video Sharing Support. V11 offers full support for popular video sharing platform, Vimeo, to easily share Vimeo hosted videos on an Elcom site.
· Flexible Corporate Directory. Emerging from a major revamp, the new corporate directory brings with it completely configurable fields and organisation charts. Administrators can easily display information where and how they want it, with complete flexibility over the look and feel, making it easier than ever for staff to find the right person to assist them.
