Jadu is an Enterprise Web Content Management System that allows you to fully control your website, empowering the people involved in its maintenance and development with our amazingly simple-to-use interface.
This video introduces Jadu MarketPlace, which enables users of the <a href="http://www.jadu.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Jadu platform</a> to access and implement new functionality and integration much more easily through web widgets (apps), re-usable web parts and forms.

A look at Jadu Marketplace

KnowledgeTree, a provider of cloud-based document management solutions, today announced KnowledgeTree for Android Tablet and KnowledgeTree for Android Phone (http://landing.knowledgetree.com/knowledgetree-version-2-launch/). The new Android mobile applications, designed specifically for the mobile content and collaboration needs of mid-sized companies, help accountants, lawyers, and other business professionals organize, edit, synch and manage documents and processes from wherever they are.
KnowledgeTree today also announced FolderSync, a new tool that powers the two-way synchronization of documents between a user’s local desktop and the KnowledgeTree cloud-based vault. Now, business professionals can always access the latest versions of documents, whether they are in their main or home office, at a client meeting, a court hearing or on the road while disconnected from the Internet. The new functionality not only ensures compliance but also removes versioning chaos.
<blockquote>
“Mid-market organizations have specific document management needs not addressed by current tools,” said Jason Verge, Tier 1 Research analyst. “They want a cost-effective and easy-to-use product that goes beyond file sharing to address business requirements like mobile access and document lifecycle management, including workflows. We’re seeing increased popularity in newer software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings designed specifically for small-to-midsized businesses that provide an alternative to traditional content management systems.”
</blockquote>

<blockquote>
“American Institutes for Research is one of the largest behavioral and social science research organizations in the world. In particular, the Educational Assessment Division offers a full range of testing services, including test development, online and paper-based services, and scoring and reporting. Thus it yields a high volume of educational materials, software documents and reports. We need to ensure that this knowledge is readily accessible by our team – something that simple file sharing can't provide,” said Selina Tolosa, Director of Assessment Software and Services at American Institutes for Research. “KnowledgeTree makes document management easy and convenient. Its cloud-based model simplifies the process of organizing, storing, and retrieving these documents. And for an organization like ours, the ability to access documents securely from anywhere is advantageous.”
</blockquote>
KnowledgeTree’s new functionalities for the mid-market customer in finance, law, and other professions include:
•	Access Anywhere: With KnowledgeTree’s mobile apps, business users are instantly connected to documents stored in their secure KnowledgeTree vault. Advanced business process tools ensure documents stay controlled through document alerts, access controls, and a secure vault.
•	Always Current: Business documents are always changing and it’s critical to have the latest versions. KnowledgeTree allows users to select groups of documents to instantly synchronize with their cloud-based vault, and changes made offline can be easily synched with the cloud to avoid versioning issues.
•	Control Simplified: KnowledgeTree puts users back in control of their documents with the ability to easily add and edit descriptions, group documents, create alerts, and build approval processes. Now, managing business assets is streamlined – helping you better control thousands of documents.
<blockquote>
“With the addition of FolderSync and our mobile applications, version control headaches and document chaos are relegated to history,” said Daniel Chalef, KnowledgeTree CEO. “Now CFOs, legal counsels, attorneys, accountants, and other business professionals have a complete suite of document management tools, which means they always are on the same page wherever they are, ultimately making them more productive.”
</blockquote>

The development team at MODX have been hard at work and have released the next major version of the Revolution series. MODX Revolution 2.1 is officially out and includes Microsoft SQL support natively.
<blockquote>
“Now you can run MODX Revolution on a full Microsoft stack including Microsoft SQL Server. This is a tremendous opportunity for MODX Solution Partners in being able to sell into environments dominated by commercially licensed software and servers,” said Ryan Thrash, CEO of MODX, LLC. “Microsoft shops should also realize major benefits from our software: an agile web content platform, total creative freedom and a reliable upgrade path between releases. They get this backed by a solid company with Commercial Support and an SLA, making for a very boardroom-friendly choice.”
</blockquote>
IDC reported Microsoft Windows leads in server share with 48.9% of revenue in Q1 2010. Microsoft invested companies can benefit from the most flexible Open Source content management platform while working with the servers and infrastructure already in place, leveraging existing in-house talent, expertise and tools. This leads to cost savings, mitigates risk and delivers faster ROIs by eliminating platform shifts.
Gianugo Rabellino, Senior Director, Open Source Communities at Microsoft shared,
<blockquote>
“We are extremely happy to see the spark that began with PHP developers working side-by-side with Microsoft developers grow into a release that offers full support for SQL Server and the Microsoft stack. For us, this release is another milestone on our journey towards greater interoperability. Enabling choices for developers and businesses was the ultimate goal of last November's SQL Server JumpIn! Camp and it is exciting to see that goal realized in this release of MODX. We thank the MODX team for their commitment and cooperation in making this milestone a possibility.”
</blockquote>
MODX Revolution 2.1 also improves website performance with a restructured and optimized caching layer. This dramatically increases page load speeds for website visitors, reduces server load and enables far better scalability across multiple servers and data clusters.
A significant change in MODX Revolution 2.1 is the removal of thousands of lines of deprecated code that reduced the size of the software by 35%. With this change it is important for website management teams to test existing websites before deploying upgraded websites on Revolution 2.1. For organizations that need assistance validating their sites, MODX recommends working with a MODX Solution Partner (<a href="http://modx.com/partners/solution/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">http://modx.com/partners/solution/</a>).
MODX Revolution 2.1 is available for free from <a href="http://modx.com/download/">http://modx.com/download/</a>. Commercial Support for MODX is available from http://modx.com/support/commercial/. GX Software, global supplier of Online Marketing software, and RealDolmen, a leading Belgian provider of ICT solutions, have signed an official partnership agreement. RealDolmen will provide implementation services for GX WebManager and BlueConic to clients in Belgium and Luxembourg. The first joint projects have also been launched for a major, international pharmaceutical organisation and www.sandaya.be.

Thanks to this partner agreement, GX Software clients can benefit from wide experience and software expertise in a variety of knowledge domains and sectors. GX WebManager offers implementation partners the unique opportunity to build components for clients independently of GX Software, and to add these to an existing website directly. This allows ongoing anticipation of the evolving wishes and high expectations of the modern consumer in the online channel. RealDolmen delivers the projects from beginning to end, or augments where the required competencies, expertise or capacity are lacking.
GX Software and RealDolmen have now launched their first joint projects. At <a href="http://www.sandaya.be/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">www.S</a>a<a href="http://www.sandaya.be/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">ndaya.be</a> there was a need for a new, flexible, expandable and robust CMS as the cornerstone for launching as a European travel player. And a major, international player in the pharmaceutical sector needed a CMS for a campaign, to help with a rapid go-to-market, but which could still offer the required engagement functionality out-of-the-box. In both instances, the combination of GX Software’s CMS and RealDolmen’s implementation services turned out to offer precisely the right outcome.
Tim Claes, Business Strategy Manager at RealDolmen:
<blockquote>
‘In line with our tagline “We make ICT work for your Business” we always start from the business challenges of our customers and look for the best ICT solutions tailored to their specific needs. As the largest independent ICT integrator in Belgium we continuously evaluate new software solutions that help us to make this statement come true. For our WEM – Web Engagement Management – solution domain we are proud to add the GX software solutions (GX WebManager and BlueConic) to our product portfolio. They follow the same no-nonsense and integrated approach, as we do with our RealDolmen Way. The solutions have clearly proven their added value in the market and will enable us to offer our clients flexible, future-proof web solutions adaptable to the high online standards of today, enabling true customer experience management (CEM) and increasing the conversion ratio real-time, across channels and enterprise-wide.’
</blockquote>

Frans Verstraten, VP international partner operations at GX software noted:
<blockquote>
‘We see Real-time, Cross-channel, Enterprise-wide Online Engagement as a strongly growing market. We have high expectations of our partnership with RealDolmen to support both existing and new customers with innovative and effective WCM and Online Engagement solutions. Today we are already working together with RealDolmen consultants on successful projects for Belgian and Dutch customers, and we will keep on bringing the same value to other customers in Belgium.’
</blockquote>

Primadesk, Inc., a provider of personal content management solutions, today announced the complete integration of search, drag &amp; drop and viewing documents from a single location, from deals struck with Dropbox, Google Docs, Pogoplug, SugarSync, and Zoho services. This now allows over 35 million users of the top document management providers to add fully indexed document search to their existing capabilities as well as new document management tools.
“Our users have asked us for the ability to search documents within their SugarSync accounts, and we are actively working on building that functionality into our platform, “said Laura Yecies, CEO of SugarSync. “In the meantime, however, we are working with partners like Primadesk who can provide our users the ability to search their SugarSync cloud and easily transfer files from other systems to SugarSync.” Primadesk is now listed on Sugarsync's App Directory.
Primadesk makes your online life easier to manage by giving users the ability to search, manage, and backup online accounts with one simple interface, no matter where the content is or what device is used. Primadesk is the only service of its kind that lets users access all of their online content in one place, drag and drop content (documents, photos, etc.) from one service provider to another, and perform fully indexed search across all documents regardless of where they are located.
“For most online users, the ‘cloud' is increasingly chaotic and some of the simpler operations, like copying things from one place to another, has become really difficult,” said Srinivasa (Venky) Venkataraman, founder and CEO of Primadesk. “Primadesk, which is browser-based, works across proprietary Web services to allow users to easily view and search all their content in one place.”
The free Primadesk Beta app is available now at <a href="http://www.primadesk.com/">www.primadesk.com</a>.

A new security release of ExpressionEngine CMS is available. Version 1.7.1 is now available for download and addresses a <a href="http://expressionengine.com/bug_tracker/bug/15753/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">critical bug</a> where each member’s settings for ‘Enable Avatar’ and ‘Enable Signatures’ were reset to ‘No’ when preferences were updated in the control panel’s General Configuration page.  The release also addresses a security issue where an SQL injection was at least theoretically possible.  There are no known cases of a successful exploit and such an attack could only be executed by someone with control panel access and access to the admin area with “Can administrate general preferences”.
You can learn more about this release on the <a href="http://expressionengine.com/blog/entry/version_1.7.1_build_20110520_security_and_maintenance_release/">ExpressionEngine blog</a>.
