Limelight Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:LLNW) (“Limelight”) today announced the acquisition of Clickability, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of web content management (WCM) tools. Founded in 1999, San Francisco-based Clickability helps enterprise marketers and online publishers create, manage and publish content globally; track visitor experiences; and implement branding, social media, and demand generation campaigns on a website.
“Clickability is a perfect complement to our Limelight Video Platform business, where we are seeing strong traction and where revenue has doubled since we acquired it six months ago. Traditional IT services and software applications are migrating into the cloud for better scale, higher performance, and global reach. With the addition of web content management, Limelight can now help customers capitalize on this important trend by handling the complete website lifecycle in the cloud, including publishing workflow, website hosting, site acceleration, video publishing, mobile and tablet distribution, and effective monetization utilizing closed-loop marketing,” said Jeff Lunsford, chairman and chief executive officer, Limelight Networks, Inc.
“This acquisition expands Limelight's total addressable market in cloud-based services by $1 billion, and the web content management segment is expected by Gartner to grow to $1.7 billion by 2014. Limelight has built a track record of successfully integrating other high-value, high-margin cloud-based services. We look forward to continuing that success with Clickability as they begin to leverage our technical and operational infrastructure,” added Lunsford.
Clickability's web content management and web marketing tools are complementary with the Limelight video platform, site acceleration, mobility, and EyeWonder advertising services. With these services together on a single, global platform, Limelight will be able to deepen its relationships with publishers, enterprises, and agencies by providing them with streamlined workflows, differentiated performance, global scale, and insights that can accelerate time to revenue. Clickability serves over 60 customers in markets such as media, high tech, financial services, government, and manufacturing, including Amcor, BMC, Minneapolis Star Tribune, PR Newswire, and Swiss Re.
“With the increasing demand of business buyers and consumers for more content online, the need for publishing and web marketing capabilities to efficiently manage that experience increases. In joining Limelight, we will be able to accelerate our growth and product innovation cycle, as well as have additional resources and global cloud computing capacity to scale with our growing customer base,” said Jeff Freund, CEO, Clickability.
The transaction was completed with a combination of Limelight Networks common stock and cash and is valued at approximately $10 million. Limelight expects Clickability to contribute approximately $4.5 million to $5 million of revenue in the second half of 2011, and to be accretive in 2012. Catapult Advisors LLC acted as exclusive financial advisor to Clickability on the transaction.

Liferay, provider of the world’s leading enterprise-class open source portal, today announced a new technology partnership with MuleSoft, the provider of web middleware built on leading open source projects Mule ESB and Apache Tomcat. As a part of the partnership, Liferay, Inc. is offering a special bundled version of Liferay Portal Enterprise Edition (EE) preinstalled with MuleSoft Tcat Server with full enterprise support coming from Liferay.
The new bundle offers customers a complete middleware web platform with extensive enterprise features, performance, and reliability with a single point of contact for all support. As the leading enterprise Tomcat Server, MuleSoft Tcat Server addresses key gaps in “plain vanilla” Apache Tomcat, with capabilities such as performance monitoring and diagnostics, application deployment, and role-based security. Based 100 percent on the Apache Tomcat binaries, with zero changes to the core code, Tcat Server allows IT teams to migrate from legacy platforms such as Oracle WebLogic and IBM WebSphere to the lightweight and open source Tomcat.
“This important partnership allows customers to implement Liferay as a strategic platform throughout their enterprise,” said Michael Young, Chief Technology Officer at Liferay, Inc. “Enterprises worldwide leverage Tomcat for its ease of use and broad ecosystem. MuleSoft Tcat Server adds extremely rich management and monitoring features on top, providing a solution that matches the best application servers available today. With this bundle, customers can now implement Liferay and Tomcat in the most demanding environments, and all with support from one phone number or URL.”
“Gartner and other experts are extremely positive about Liferay technology and our own MuleSoft community has been showing significant interest in Liferay Portal since the launch of Liferay 6.0,” said Chris Purpura, VP of Business Development at MuleSoft. “Tcat Serversolves the common pains associated with running Apache Tomcat applications in production by easing deployment and remote server management, as well as reducing unplanned downtime. This Tcat Server and Liferay bundle now give customers a real deployment alternative to the very expensive Java EE application servers for running modern web, portal, and collaboration sites.”
Liferay Portal has been in development since 2000 and boasts more than 4 million downloads and over 250,000 deployments that range from multi-billion dollar OEM vendors to award winning web sites such as SesameStreet.org. This offer, which includes a bundled version with predefined support for both products, will be available through Liferay. For more information, please contact sales@liferay.com.

SpringCM® today announced the latest release of its award-winning cloud enterprise content management platform. This latest release, featuring new dynamic case management capabilities, helps SpringCM customers deliver more consistent execution, enhance team productivity and increase management visibility of key business processes.
The new release of the SpringCM platform makes it easy and affordable to quickly and securely organize teams, tasks and content by using a simple but powerful checklist metaphor to drive such applications as new account openings, vendor on-boarding and audits. In addition, the new release helps executives and mobile workers perform their jobs more efficiently with new mobile support for iPad that not only leverages an intuitive-gesture interface, but also gives access to powerful cloud capabilities such as full-text search of corporate-content repositories.
As organizations increasingly look to address the gaps left by standard ERP and CRM applications, industry analysts note that these organizations see the need to provide more consistency, visibility and decision-making for knowledge workers. Traditional ECM and BPM approaches are described as too complex and expensive to meet the ease-of-use and responsiveness needed for knowledge workers who accomplish a variety of tasks with fewer and fewer resources while possessing unique organizational knowledge that can’t be explicitly mapped in workflows or business rules.
“With SpringCM we’ve been able to apply lean concepts to dramatically improve productivity and quality in our student-loan application processing,” noted Joel Weber, CIO of Weber &amp; Associates. “With results to date of over 25% reduction in processing time, a 90% reduction in overtime and a 50% reduction in quality-control hours with the same quality, we’ve seen the impact dynamic case management can have.”
Highlights of the Latest Release:
<ul>
<li>Enhances quality-of-service and compliance with defined rules while giving knowledge workers the ability to make decisions within guidelines</li>
<li>Provides a 360° status view to all case participants to improve team and customer communication</li>
<li>Increases team and process productivity</li>
<li>Improves business agility with faster responsiveness to objectives and process changes</li>
<li>Enables more effective internal collaboration on cases</li>
<li>Improves communication with customers and other service requesters</li>
<li>Requires minimal IT resources with no need for expensive consultants to implement and adapt to changing business needs</li>
</ul>
These new features for dynamic case management build on existing SpringCM cloud content management platform features:
<ul>
<li>Intelligent and versatile on-ramps to capture content through email, fax, OCR, and e-forms to automate delivering content to the right case</li>
<li>Integration to collect content from multiple repositories and enterprise systems such as salesforce.com, SAP and SharePoint to bring all needed case content to one workspace for case workers</li>
<li>An easy-to-manage cloud content repository that provides a single place to manage and share case forms, scanned documents, faxes, photos and emails</li>
<li>Secure and reliable SAS 70 Type II service delivery</li>
</ul>
Daniel Dosen, vice president of product management, SpringCM, added, “There’s a big gap in serving the market between rigid ERP workflows that don’t understand content and cumbersome on-premise ECM. In this era of consumerization of IT, the cloud gives us a way to not only to deliver an agile solution for customers, but also to engage with customers and partners in real time on how to best meet the needs of knowledge workers for ease-of-use and productivity. Mobility support with the iPad extends our value even further to help customers put their content to work wherever they need.”
About SpringCM
SpringCM is the recognized market leader in cloud enterprise content management. With delivery in days and at a fraction of the cost, organizations use SpringCM to streamline their inefficient document processes with customers, vendors, and remote operations. Organizations such as Dresser, BillingTree, ACS, and Cox are achieving payback in as little as 40 days in areas such as case management and claims processing, bids and proposals, contract management and invoice automation. With SpringCM customers avoid the expense, complexity, and risks of traditional ECM software. For further information, please visit <a href="http://www.springcm.com">www.springcm.com</a>.
