With DotNetNuke recently updating their cms to support enhanced social capabilities, PackFlash has followed with an update to their Constellation Suite.
PackFlash has just released a new version of their Constellation Suite. The Constellation Suite is a series of 8 DNN modules that provide enhanced functionality to the DNN platform. These modules can be purchased individually, or together, and the modules are designed to work together tightly, overcoming a key liability of DNN modules which normally operate independently of each other. The suite includes Events, Image Gallery, Slideshow, Friendly URLs, Mega Drop-Down Menu, Comments, Videos, and DotNetNuke News and Blog Module. Version 3.3 is the newest installment of Constellation.
With its latest release, DotNetNuke has added a wealth of social networking features to its core WCMS platform. The focus of Constellation version 3.3 is to provide integration into these new social capabilities. The Constellation Suite provides a publishing engine to enable the dissemination of a variety of content and media using DNN, so using the DNN social functionality to allow a site’s users to discuss the content is a natural extension of Constellation’s mission. In particular, the Comments Module, which is a part of the Constellation Suite, has new options to push comments to the “journal feeds” that are a key component of DNN’s social toolset. Another integration point allows content creators to announce the publication of new content to their personal journal feed, or to the feeds of any “social groups” which may be applicable. The creator has the choice of which locations will receive each posting rather than the system assuming everything should get pushed to the creator’s journal feed.

The DNN Social integration isn’t the only notable enhancement in Constellation 3.3. Other new features include: the ability to display tooltips from item lists to provide more details about an item during mouse hover, the ability to incorporate PackFlash Categories within the Mega Menu Module, and URL rewriting has been added as part of the Friendly URL &amp; SEO Module for DotNetNuke. This URL rewriting applies to ALL URLs generated by the CMS, including those generated by 3rd-party modules. In addition, a new module called PackFlash Collections is included with version 3.3 that allows for users to save and group items providing watchlist or personal library type functionality. Nuxeo Releases New Open Source ECM Packages for Ubuntu Server

Nuxeo, the Open Source Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform company, released a new version of Nuxeo Document Management and Nuxeo Enterprise Platform today. Nuxeo DM 5.4.2 offers a host of usability and social features to make the user experience even smoother and more streamlined. Key contributions highlight the value of community involvement in the strategy of continuous innovation for the Nuxeo platform.
The release of Nuxeo DM 5.4.2 and its underlying platform, Nuxeo EP, demonstrates execution on a vision of ongoing innovation, community engagement, and open standards support, delivered to content management application architects and developers. Driven by community feedback, many of the new features and enhancements improve usability of the application, using state-of-the-art technologies and standards, such as OpenSocial, OAuth, HTML5, WebDAV, and CMIS.
The new WSS connector was contributed by Nuxeo partner Gagnavarslan, an ECM solution provider in Iceland. The Nuxeo and Gagnavarslan teams collaborated to integrate this new component after passing the Nuxeo QA process. With this connector, the Nuxeo repository can be mapped as a drive under MS Windows or Mac OS X.

Other contributions include ongoing enhancements for the OpenSocial integration from customer Leroy Merlin. It now supports the GWT OpenSocial container, making the dashboard faster, and providing more gadgets and layout options.
In addition, the Nuxeo platform is now completely integrated with OpenSocial and fully supports OAuth, allowing for external gadget integration in Nuxeo DM, and the use of Nuxeo DM gadgets in external containers, such as iGoogle. OAuth support ensures control of which services are used and the scope of data shared between applications.
While the GWT container is well equipped to manage dashboards, a new light OpenSocial JavaScript Gadget container offers a quick and easy way to add an OpenSocial gadget to a content template in Nuxeo DM.
Other highlights of Nuxeo EP and DM 5.4.2 include:

<li>HTML 5 Drag'n'Drop. Import single or multiple files via drag'n'drop, without installing a plugin. With a bulk edit feature, metadata can be defined for multiple files on upload.</li>
<li>Local configuration. Configure the document types, themes, and content views that are available for a particular domain or workspace, rather than imposing a universal configuration on the entire repository.</li>
<li>New system properties for the CMIS interface. In addition to the system properties defined in the CMIS specification under the cmis: prefix, Nuxeo EP adds properties under the nuxeo: prefix.</li>
<li>Improved User Interface layout, for a more streamlined access to the user dashboard, document management center, and administration center.</li>
<li>Content Views. Content listings and search results now include filtering options and export options (RSS, ATOM, CSV, Excel, PDF), and can be easily configured with Nuxeo Studio.</li>
<li>Facets. These declarative markers can now be defined on a per-document instance basis instead of only per-document type, giving a more fine-tuned control of search and retrieval operations.</li>

Collectively developed by over 100 women in tech (and a select few male allies), the MACH Manifesto was developed by an international contingent of attendees at the inaugural Women in MACH event and awards ceremony, organized by <a href="https://mindcurv.com/en/" target="_blank">Mindcurv</a>.
The event, which was held 22nd and 23rd of September in Madrid, brought together advocates for gender equality from across the MACH technology community to network and deliver inspiring sessions about technology, leadership, and diversity &amp; inclusion (D&amp;I).
<h2>Advocating for Equality through the MACH Movement</h2>
The manifesto is a document that calls on technology companies to take further steps to advance equal opportunities for everyone. Businesses are invited to sign the document, signaling their commitment to taking action toward this goal. Some of the topics included equal pay, equality in hiring, promotions based on merit, culture, representation in leadership, and more. 
One sobering data point: a live poll at the conference found that an overwhelming majority of attendees – 90% – said they had felt discriminated against at some point in their careers due to their gender.
“MACH is a modern category, and the companies we work for are driving forward a new era in enterprise technology,” said Holly Hall, Managing Director at the MACH Alliance. “In parallel, we feel obligated to urge companies in our ecosystem to do more when it comes to nurturing the success of women. We want to help the sector become more active contributors on the subject of gender equality not simply because we know it’s right, but because we know women already play a crucial role at many of these enterprises. Our goal is to elevate their contributions and pave the way for others to succeed in this space.”
<h2>Supporting Meaningful Outcomes by Signing the Manifesto</h2>
According to the MACH Alliance, all companies are welcome to sign <a href="https://machalliance.org/insights/women-in-mach-manifesto-for-gender-equality" target="_self">the manifesto</a>, and participants will receive a badge to promote their commitment to the vision. By signing, an organization is also agreeing to take steps outlined in the manifesto to create meaningful space for women in MACH.
In addition to providing ongoing resources that align with the manifesto’s mission, the Alliance will publish bi-annual reports to chronicle how participating organizations are moving the needle on D&amp;I metrics and other measurable data points related to women in MACH.
“Our Women in MACH event showed the strength of female leadership in what is still a male dominated industry,” said Markus Tillman, EVP at Mindcurv. “By coming together we can help advance each other, the workplace for current and future generations, the MACH category and the tech sector as a whole. We want the manifesto to become a guiding star for everyone who is active in the rapidly growing MACH community, with the goal to carry the manifesto into the world to drive change.”

LemonStand's New CMS Combines Content with Commerce

NodeBB, the Canadian company with the goal of modernizing Internet forums, is proud to announce version 1.6.0 of their software, which features a completely re-written rendering system to dramatically improve performance.
“While our customers have generally been happy with the speed of NodeBB, in our hearts we always knew we could do even better,” says NodeBB co-founder Julian Lam. “This is a complete rewrite of our templating system, a faster engine that allows us to handle twice the concurrent users without any noticeable lag.”
The majority of the template system work was completed by Peter Jaszkowiak, who joined the NodeBB team earlier this year. “Peter's fresh viewpoints allow us to leverage the latest technology only recently made available to end users, in order to better deliver that rock-solid experience we promise to all of our users,” says Lam.
In addition to these performance improvements, NodeBB v1.6.0 features design updates for automated emails such as address confirmation and topic digests, as well as improvements to the IP blacklist functionality to help fight spam.
