The announcement has finally come. Elgg, the popular open source social networking CMS has a new release with version 1.6.
Details are still sparse on the <a href="http://elgg.org">Elgg.org</a> site about what exactly is included in this release but the announcement has been made according to this post on Twitter:
“Elgg 1.6 has been released! Grab it from <a href="http://tinyurl.com/elgg1-6" target="_blank">http://tinyurl.com/elgg1-6</a> and let us know how your installation or upgrade goes!”
We've got a few messages out to find out the juicy details and will let you know as soon as we have them. In the meantime, enjoy the new release!
