The company just announced that it has delivered 100 billion cumulative decisions on behalf of its customers. Even more impressive? Auxia’s AI agents now power roughly 400 million autonomous decisions every day, handling tasks like content selection, optimization timing, and determining next-best actions for individual users across channels like web, app, email, and more – all while processing 200 petabytes of first-party data annually.Not bad for a scale-up that’s only been around since 2022. But these numbers are more than just an expression of performance. With cash in hand and an executive heritage from Google and Meta, the company has made significant gains towards its agentic ambitions, where AI is truly impacting outcomes.“We thought, wouldn't it be great if we kind of reimagined how a marketer's workflow should be in the age of AI?” he said previously. “The way it would work, in our perspective, is that you would always have a set of agents working in the background for you and surfacing insights. And then you – as a marketer – can go and look at those insights and then direct other agents to determine what action needs to be taken.”This vision sounds great. But herein lies the challenge: most enterprises are still stuck with legacy marketing stacks that limit their AI agility. There’s fatigue, cognitive overload, and a real hunger for more automation to lighten the load without compromising success. This is where Auxia is providing a pathway to an agent-powered “promised land” with real, quantifiable results. “Enterprise leaders are replacing rigid, rules-based marketing stacks with intelligent agents that optimize customer value in real time,” Sandeep said. “One hundred billion decisions is not just a scale milestone – it is proof that agentic AI delivers measurable top-line impact, not just operational efficiency.”<h3 id="real-impact-and-measurable-business-outcomes">Real impact and measurable business outcomes</h3>Customer journey orchestration (CJO) platforms help businesses to manage, automate, and personalize customer interactions across multiple touchpoints in real-time, using data-driven insights to improve engagement. The tighter integration of communication channels and dynamic personalization can enrich those touchpoints across previously fragmented interactions, so you can proactively guide customers to a conversion from any point in the lifecycle.Like every other segment of software, AI has been changing the game. To meet the shifting policy and regulatory landscape, the platform has been built with enterprise-grade security, privacy, and reliability at a core level. This includes SOC 2 Type II certification, GDPR compliance, and more. While its agentic roadmap has also been rapidly evolving, Auxia has been innovating for quite some time. Campaigns are also organized into core marketing workflows called Journeys that align with customer needs. Under it all, Auxia has also expanded its infrastructure capabilities, scaling the platform to handle over 10 billion events per day, with peak loads of 15,000 queries per second. That reflects a 3x increase in capacity since early 2025.According to Auxia’s press release, there’s been rapid customer adoption and expansion. The product has been deployed across more teams, channels, and use cases, growing monthly decisions per customer to 6x year-over-year, and generating a heathy 176% net dollar retention (NDR) rate.Along with expanding its global footprint to include offices in Palo Alto, Tokyo, and Bangalore, Auxia has also quadrupled its headcount with several key hires. Clearly a sign that it’s bullish about the opportunities ahead.<h3 id="why-it-matters">Why it matters</h3>As I noted last year, AI-powered customer journey orchestration is unlocking key benefits for marketers as they look to scale hyper-personalization. Auxia’s vision has drawn real interest and vigor, and they’ve secured the funding to drive the company’s roadmap towards its agentic ambitions.We’re seeing the fruits of those labors – and not just in Auxia’s net gains. The platform’s surpassing of 100 billion autonomous decisions is a clear signal that AI agents are performing with real outcomes.As I said previously, I like the composable, agnostic nature of the product. As Sandeep explained in our last conversation, they work natively at the cloud layer, and they’re able to play with CMS and enhance 1:1 personalization with content decisioning via their agents.“We connect to content management systems, where you can use our agents to determine what is the right content to showcase to somebody at a point in time in their journey to get them to the objective,” he said. My recommendation: Auxia offers a great market alternative with a clear AI-forward motion towards an agentic marketing platform. The gestalt was right up my alley, offering a clean, minimal design with clear pathways to explore short-stay apartments in a variety of locales. Agency partner <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.idhlagency.com/">IDHL</a> did yeoman’s work on developing the “Bob” identity and persona, delivering a charming and inviting vibe to the experience. Along with some killer frontend features like smart filtering and a little backend magic with reusable content, Bob W. personifies what great UX is – and I love how it all supports a corporate commitment to sustainability and a stay that’s 100% offset. Websites Still Rock: Kentico’s 2025 ‘Site of the Year’ Winners Push the Boundaries of Digital Experience 

AI ROI? A-OK: MACH Alliance Report Says Enterprises with Composable Foundations are Netting Returns

<a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://cmscritic.com/critics/dserrano">Geetha Rajan</a> is a strategy executive advising Fortune 500 companies on AI adoption, AI transformation, and organizational change, and a CMS Critic contributor. <hr /> <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.media.mit.edu/groups/nanda/overview/">MIT’s NANDA Initiative</a> dropped a number last year that made a lot of people uncomfortable: <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.forbes.com/sites/jasonsnyder/2025/08/26/mit-finds-95-of-genai-pilots-fail-because-companies-avoid-friction/">95% of generative AI pilots deliver zero measurable impact on the P&amp;L.</a> Not “underperform.” Zero. Based on 150 executive interviews and analysis of 300 public deployments, the picture is clear: billions spent with little measurable impact.Then <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://cmscritic.com/agentic-panic-new-study-finds-ai-agents-in-production-face-infrastructure-and-reliability-challenges">Cleanlab’s survey</a> of nearly 1,900 tech executives and engineers added another layer: only 5% had AI agents in production, and 60–70% were changing their entire AI stack every three months. Not iterating. The instinct in the development ecosystem is to treat this as a technical problem—bad models, immature tooling, infrastructure that can’t keep up. Those things are real. But they’re not what’s killing your projects.<h3 id="the-misdiagnosis">The Misdiagnosis</h3>Here’s what the MIT data shows when you look past the headline. The 5% that succeeded weren’t using better models. They were operating within organizations that had solved a different set of problems—problems unrelated to code.Successful deployments shared three traits: they empowered line managers to drive adoption, integrated tools into existing workflows rather than requiring wholesale changes, and built distinct enablement strategies for different parts of the organization. That’s what happens when powerful tools get adopted faster than organizations can absorb them.<h3 id="where-engineering-teams-actually-get-stuck">Where Engineering Teams Actually Get Stuck</h3>Across hundreds of organizations in the Pilots to Scale™ research, a consistent pattern emerges: the failure point lies between the tool and the team. Organizations fail to recognize that their workforce doesn’t adopt new technology as a monolith. Across any organization—including engineering teams—you find roughly four segments with fundamentally different relationships to AI tools.<ul><li>Champions (about 20%) are already experimenting. They don’t bolt Copilot onto existing processes and hope for improvement. They redesign how work gets done—code review, testing, deployment—around what AI makes possible. Most teams skip this entirely.Second, they mandate cross-functional coordination. AI-powered development touches security, compliance, product, and design. Successful deployments had cross-functional governance from day one, not bolted on after a security incident. As <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/cgnorthcutt/">Cleanlab’s CEO, Curtis Northcutt </a>put it: the moment you think you’ve figured it out is the moment you fall behind. That’s an organizational insight, not a technical one.Third, they invest in segment-specific enablement. Champions become peer coaches. Explorers get structured 30-day experiments with weekly check-ins. Skeptics are paired with champions who demonstrate concrete value. One enterprise software company I studied segmented its team this way and saw adoption jump from 12% to 73% in one quarter. Same tools. Same org. Different strategy.<h3 id="the-agentic-refactoring-loop">The Agentic Refactoring Loop</h3>Cleanlab’s data about constant stack refactoring is real—and it creates a vicious loop. Teams build an agent; it breaks on messy enterprise data. They refactor. A better LLM drops. They rebuild. Workflows shift. They refactor again. Between 60% and 70% of executives surveyed were swapping out their entire AI stack every three months. That’s not iteration. That’s a treadmill.The organizations that break out of this loop aren’t the ones with more stable technology. They’re the ones that built organizational infrastructure to absorb churn—teams that evaluate, adopt, and sunset tools in structured ways. When your people trust that AI adoption is being managed, not just mandated, they refactor faster and flag problems earlier. The constraint isn’t the technology’s speed. What we were really circling around was something harder to admit: Agentic AI is already delivering real value in CMS work, and we’re still operating like it isn’t. Across two sessions, with people who actually ship things for a living, a pattern emerged. Not optimism. Not fear. Something more pragmatic. A quiet acknowledgment that the technology moved faster than our operating models—and now there’s a gap. This “gap” matches what the macro research is now showing. <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.mckinsey.com/capabilities/quantumblack/our-insights/the-state-of-ai?utm_source=chatgpt.com">McKinsey’s 2025 global survey</a> reports 88% of respondents say their organizations use AI in at least one business function, up from 78% a year earlier—yet most organizations still report they haven’t fully scaled it across the enterprise. Fifty thousand content items. If your instinct is to point a language model at that problem and let it churn through items one by one, you’re already in trouble. The smarter teams aren’t asking agents to do the work. They’re asking agents to design how the work gets done. Generate the migration scripts.  Define the mappings.  Set the rules.  Hand execution to observable systems.  Review structured output. That shift—from execution to orchestration—is subtle, but it’s where agentic AI stops being expensive and starts being scalable. And it’s where a lot of hype-driven implementations quietly fall apart. Why this is economically and operationally rational (with numbers): LLM usage at scale has two costs: compute/token cost and risk cost (errors propagated across thousands of assets). They’re core to regulated industries, global brands, and anyone whose CMS isn’t just a website—it’s institutional memory. Agentic AI adoption doesn’t fail because models aren’t good enough.
