PDFFiller is an online PDF form filler and editor that has been on the market since 2006. It allows you to not only fill out PDF documents, sign them and send them out but also to host them on your own website complete with the ability for people to do the same. Today, I'm going to share with you my PDFFiller Review.
I first came across PDFFiller when they reached out to me to ask if I was interested in taking a look at their software. Being a long time Docusign user, I was eager to check out an alternative and see if it met my needs. I'm glad I did. PDFFiller is significantly easier to use and felt far faster in my time using the software. For the purposes of this PDFFiller review, I've used a W8 form from the IRS (something I often have to fill out being Canadian and working with US companies).
When you first log into PDFFiller, you'll be greeted with this screen:

Adding a signature is incredibly easy, you can type one out, draw it with your mouse, use a touch screen device (if you have one), capture a signature or upload one.

Let's take a quick look at a few other slick features you get with PDFFiller. Adding a watermark to documents is always handy and doing so simply requires you clicking on the watermark tab on the right side of the screen and creating yours.

Adding even more features, PDFFiller also allows you to spell check your document. Of course, it can only spell check the information you've typed out but it's a great feature to make sure you haven't made any mistakes on your form. To enable it, simply flick the switch as shown below.

5 Great Drupal Business Themes

A Document management system answers many questions: how do I reduce operating expenses? How do I save money in newfound places for my business? How do I scale back on paper use in my office?
However, the software itself also poses important questions to those who are considering using it. Here eFileCabinet answers many of the most FAQs received from prospective users and new customers alike.
A. Will Software and Strategy Support be an Ongoing, Indefinite Process?
Document management system support will not be an ongoing and indefinite process insomuch as the document management system vendor has a strong support team and product offering. However, irrespective of which document management system a prospective buyer selects, the <a href="https://www.cmscritic.com/document-management-system-strategy-and-execution/">strategy for the technology</a> will always be an ongoing process.
Although software and strategy are highly similar in the sense that a software’s features may provide strategic frameworks in and of themselves, from the organizational perspective, the strategy will always require legwork because the industry in which the organization resides will fluctuate, bringing new demands and challenges, and ultimately shaping the way organizations respond to these fluctuations with a document management system.
B. What Will Data and Content Migration Entail?
Most organizations’ qualitative data can be found in its content and vice versa. Thus, data and content may be treated as one and the same, or merely as “information.” DMS vendors will be able to assist buyers in <a href="http://searchstorage.techtarget.com/definition/data-migration">data migration</a> whether it be to an online, cloud-based solution, a hybrid solution, or an on premise(s) solution.
However, some vendors will not sufficiently address post-installation considerations regarding information migration. Essentially, it is common that once a vendor completes the installation and makes the sale, further guidance is not provided to the <a href="http://www.efilecabinet.com/case-studies/">document management system user</a>.
For instance, a particularly common issue post installation is the vendor’s failure to warn organizations against using old storage and data methods (like the shared drive) that the DMS was purchased to supplant. Employees are creatures of habit just as they are outside the office, and will continue relying on overlearned storage tactics, procedures, and protocols unless leadership incentivizes buy-in to the new DMS by removing the technology it was designed to replace.
C. Why Would I choose an Electronic Document Management System over An Electronic Document Management Solution (EDMS)?
Several document management system vendors use the terms document management system and EDMS interchangeably, so confusion regarding the terms is understandable. However, there is a distinct difference between EDMS and a document management system, while still relevant in terminology, is not relevant in practice.
The term emerged to account for enterprise imaging innovations made over 15 years ago near the beginning of the millennium. Akin to DMS, the main purpose of EDM was enabling organizations to rely on less paper, store information digitally, and increase the security of their files (albeit the security enhancement of going paperless alone was marginal).
However, the document management system, as noted earlier, encompasses a greater suite of strategies and software bred to accommodate the needs of larger organizations with multiple branches and a greater volume of information, including more stringent compliance objectives and expectations.
D. Why Would I choose a Document Management System over Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)? 
ERP software is designed to help organizations become data driven, making strategic decisions based on surmised data. Perhaps more akin to DMS than any other technology mentioned in this guide, ERP is better suited for organizations looking to utilize different platforms of the same software in different departments of the organization.
However, a document management system deployment is most useful if deployed organization-wide across all departments—making it a better option for larger organizations wanting to keep all departments informed of each other’s processes and information structures.
Additionally, ERP is designed to account for predetermined information. DMS, however, is robust enough to account for both determined and undetermined information—the latter of these two information types being the most difficult to structuralize into internal processes. Finally, ERP emphasizes delivering solutions in real time: real time being the feature by which technology keeps pace with external processes as they unfold in the environment.
E. Why Would I Choose DMS over Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFSS)? 
Enterprise File Sync and Share <a href="https://www.sharefile.com/?aid=115878241100&amp;src=google&amp;kw=citrix%20sharefile&amp;gclid=CjwKEAiAr4vBBRCG36e415-_l1wSJAAatjJZZ7ehvPhPYsY9E4tkeRKPcE5ofIEZzdNaqY9_MaakrRoCH8Hw_wcB">(EFSS)</a> is the equivalent of what many call cloud storage today, making it a consumer grade technology unfit for use in an enterprise, no matter how small the enterprise may be.
Although many DMS vendors have all the features of a typical EFSS, the value inherent to a document management system does not reside in its EFSS features. Presently, over half of all organizations worldwide rely on EFSS.
F. Why Would I Choose a Document Management System over Enterprise Content Management (ECM)? 
DMS and ECM are two of the most commonly confused enterprise grade technology solutions. ECM mobilizes documents into self-contained content, reducing the time spent organizing materials and clutter—both of which are prevalent issues across industries.
Essentially, DMS facilitates documents’ capacity to self-manage so workers may tend to the more important aspects of organizational functions: decision making, analysis, and revenue-generating processes.
Although the following statistic varies from vendor to vendor and industry to industry, anywhere from one-fifth to one-fourth of a document management system is Enterprise Content Management in its entirety.
This is in large part because although ECM and DMS are distinctly different, they share a variety of technological features—whereas a DMS entails not just technology, but also the strategies by which organizations can effectively use and manipulate content for any given purpose.
For instance, Infosys, a business technology and consulting firm, notes that one-fifth of ECM is comprised of the following document management features: folder-ing, file visibility, file retrieval and search, workflow features, and automated document deletion and retention.

If there's one thing that drives everyone nuts, it's spam, especially when it comes to running a website. One of the most common complaints new website owners have is the amount of spam comments, contact form submissions and signups that occur when your website goes live. Without some form of spam prevention, you are in for an administration nightmare. It works by sending the request to the cloud and using special algorithms to analyze the requests.

Akismet is the popular spam prevention plugin for WordPress by Automattic. While it's most often used on WordPress installations, a large percentage of web applications also have plugins for it. I'd recommend searching within their plugin directories to see if it's integrated with the software you are using (if you do not run WordPress).

While Captcha certainly isn't one of my favorite options, I have to admit that in a lot of cases, it works well. I prefer the one that simply asks you to check a box saying that you are not a robot as opposed to the sometimes difficult to read captcha's that come up on some websites. Having said that, it does work in a lot of cases otherwise it wouldn't be so widely used.

Mollom is a website spam filtering service similar to Cleantalk. It was originally created by Dries Buytaert (founder of Drupal) and his team and is now part of Acquia. Mollom is available for WordPress, Drupal, Radiant, SilverStripe, Java, PHP, Ruby, Python, Perl, .NET and more.

Sblam! is a web service that blocks spammy posts in blog comments, forums and guestbooks (blocks bots posting adverts for viagra, porn, credit, casinos, etc.). It detects spam server-side and doesn't bother users with any puzzles to retype.

The honeypot technique involves creating a hidden field which only spam bots will see and when they fill it out, you block the submission as normal users wouldn't see it and therefore would not fill it out. Since it's more of a technique than a web service, I've linked to an excellent tutorial I came across that explains how to implement it. Most form plugins have this ability integrated and it should be very easy to find tons of tutorials on the web if the one above doesn't suit your needs.

The benefit of metadata, as it pertains to organization, is keeping employees from storing information in a scattered, inconsistent, and manual fashion. Most information is stored, named, and retrieved through arbitrary means in most organizations not relying on a document management system.
<h2>Full-text Search</h2>
Although zonal OCR enables full-text searches to users’ advantage, whole-text searches are slower, on average, if not used in moderation. For example, to find preselected words in the documents employees are looking for, it not only takes longer to find information, but the information surmised within the DMS solution is more likely to be irrelevant, arbitrary, or impertinent to the searcher’s intentions.
This is because when software scans more text, it increases the probability for confounding phrases and words, even under Boolean search guidelines. For instance, if an employee is searching for a client with the first name “April,” full-text searches may summon calendar events in the month of April instead.
Although metadata is a seemingly complex term, those unfamiliar with it are usually well versed in creating it; for instance, any time one saves a document, he or she is creating or reinforcing metadata, for metadata is simply data describing information about digital files, or “data about data,” making these digital files easier to retrieve, manage, and audit. A DMS solution’s ability to index metadata allows DMS users to specify file components independent of an operating system’s binary, modal, and computerized logic.
<h2>Drag and Drop Functionality</h2>
Arguably the most intuitive way to overthrow the inefficiency of manual processes without sacrificing the intuitiveness of said processes is the drag and drop feature. This feature, although functionally different across document management system products, is common to the internal workings of most DMS. <h2>Abandoned Shopping Cart Tracking</h2>

Weebly also unveiled a feature that lets you track the number of abandoned shopping carts on your website. That means every time a visitor leaves your site during the checkout process – but before handing over their cash – you'll know about it.
Also, this new Abandoned Cart feature saves the cart for every registered user and creates a link for you to email them a reminder to complete their purchase. Plus, the email can be automatically sent (thanks, automated emails!).
In fact, after a customer has made it to your checkout flow and entered an email, you can configure the amount of time that elapses before sending the customer an abandoned cart email.
<h2>Weebly: Blurred Lines?</h2>
Just a year ago, I would have been quite shocked to find a website builder like Weebly – which prides itself on simplicity – releasing features like the ones detailed above. .
Lead capture forms and abandoned shopping cart tracking? Those are relatively advanced webmaster tools that are typically reserved for enterprise-grade platforms. Or at least, they used to be.
Perhaps now we're looking at the new face of website building, where marketing automation comes as part of even the most basic package.
For me, it's exciting, but I'm not sure how well this all suits the newbie who just wants to make a simple website for a new business. It feels like the lines are getting blurred over at Weebly.
